I think that we need to rework our entire system of incentives; the current system allows way too much destructive moneymaking and power-grabbing by larger institutions, and doesn't really incentivize any sorts of other behavior. We consumers are capable of changing what we're demanding, but the corporations will always cater to what we demand... so that's what has to change.
